We have been wanting to add some new developments to our site for around 18 months. Those developments went silent as regulators wanted to consider in detail if our free consumer site crossed the boundary into advice.
For the past 12 months we have been in regulatory and legal discussions around this.
We do not have permissions to give advice or want them. So, we would have had to take the free public site down if it crossed this boundary. This meant we had to switch our focus to new licensing clients over the past year.
Last month, it was finally confirmed to us that our existing site does not provide advice.
Whilst this has delayed our progress, it is great to have this finally confirmed and we can now move forward.
To be clear we still cannot provide advice and have no intention of looking to gain advice permissions. This just means we can continue to provide the free site, develop it further and can now also arrange transactions in pensions and investments.
Many people have asked me over the past year……When are new developments coming, including couples modelling etc? We’ve had the phones off the hook, but this news now allows us to get back to that conversation.
Given the delay and the fact we now have lots of other things that we need to do for our licensing clients, we can’t make promises on when they will be ready. However, please stay on the line for more updates on developments as soon as they come through during 2026.
For everyone who helped us with testing, online polling and making sure we could evidence the site was well understood by users, we are very grateful for your help.
