We have been wanting to add some new developments to our site for around 18 months. Those developments went silent as the FCA wished to consider if our existing site crossed the boundary into advice. For the past 12 months we have been in legal discussions around this.
We do not have permissions to give advice or want them. So, we would have had to hang up and take the free site down if it crossed this boundary. Last month, it was confirmed to us that our existing site does not provide advice and we can continue to provide it.
In addition, last week we were provided with the permissions that we initially sought.
To be clear we still cannot provide advice and have no intention of looking to gain advice permissions, but this means we can continue to provide the free site, develop it further and arrange transactions in pensions and investments.
Many people have asked me over the past year……When are new developments coming, including couples modelling etc? This news now allows us to get back to that conversation.
Given the delay, we can’t make promises on when they will be ready. However, please stay on the line for more updates on developments as they come.
For everyone who helped us with testing, online polling and making sure we could evidence the site was well understood, we are very grateful for your help.
